Gamemodes
Third person view is now available in gamemodes called ‘3rd Person Team Deathmatch’ and ‘3rd Person Cage Match’. We also learn that Last Stand has made it into Modern Warfare 2, but not as a perk, this time around it’s one of the four Deathstreak rewards (we think this is how Infinity Ward have treated Martyrdom too). Last Stand joins Painkiller and Copycat on the Deathstreak reward list.

The maps of Modern Warfare 2
Afghan
Map Info: Set around an airplane crash site in the middle of the map. The east and west parts feature cliffs and bunkers, perfect for snipers. Whilst the smaller ledges and caves, situated in the north and south ensure for plenty of intense action.

Favela
Map Info: Set in a shanty town, this map is packed full of alleyway's and hidden corners for close quarters action. The streets are lined with buildings and the rooftops provide the high ground for those that like to have an aerial advantage

Highrise
Map Info: Set on the rooftop of an unfinished skyscraper complete with a helipad in the middle. Both the north and south parts of this map contain small interior offices, which are linked by a passageway that runs underneath the map. The outside rooftop area however, is more exposed. Especially to the series of suspended steel beams that hang above the map

Estate
Map Info: Its setting is reminiscent of Creek from the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare DLC, but it plays very differently. At the southern end of the map is a large, two-story estate house, which tends to become the centerpiece of every battle. It is defensible, but not hard to infiltrate once you know the tricks, and when you're in, it's easy to create a lot of confusion (smoke grenades help). Outside of the buildings, the map is wooded and encourages long-range combat and a lot of sprinting.
