i think its pretty obvious that they have backups of the online stats ... what do you think happened with the 360 leaderboards a few weeks ago? their servers crashed and it reverted back to previous backups stats for SOME people. so clearly they can do whatever they want with it

Infinity Ward will almost definatley reset the majority of peoples accounts. I mean think about it, IW can easily develop a program to reset ANYONE with 10th prestige in under 5 days, (we know it can be done legitimately in 5days by looking at Codemajic). Its what they done with the PS3 leaderboards (Removed certain people on the leaderboards that had hacked it who had an inaccurate time played + accuracy etc) and i believe that is the method they will use for reseting peoples accounts. I definatley believe they will do it aswell, the main reason i deprestiged to a more appropriate rank to the amount of days that i played.

there were a bunch that you can tell it wasnt legit, #1 guy had like 3x score than the second person, rofl and he wasnt deleted.....

Codemagic just boosted, he should be deleted. He sucks too i smacked him in a public match and he left the game. hes a joke.

BTW IW dosent run the servers either belive it or not Activision runs everything MP based servers and ranks and game bans

Actually, Demonware host the servers, Activision help to maintain them and IW publish the content for them. :>

omg sony have nothing to do with iw why even bother ringing sony up u just going to talk to soemone getting paid to read u a script , 2nd IW can reset your rank hell even i can do it , why bother hacking in the first place if u want to go back to rank 1 ,

Your rank, kills, streak, wins, losses, etc.. is stored on the leaderboard itself
The leaderboard is a series of files (about 100,000)
Each file has about 20 id's on it

When you go to a match, whilst your playing the match, your leaderboard stats DO NOT CHANGE
When the match is over, your PS3 sends packets to the IW server telling how many kills you got, your accuracy, your deaths, etc... IW server accepts the packet and modifys your leaderboard stats, then IW server sends the packet back to your PS3
So basically, in laymans terms, your PS3 sends the parcel of info, IW takes it, and says thank you, and sends it back
Thats why, when doing the Prestige hack, you have to prestige, or play a game, AND THEN QUIT so your PS3 can send a packet
Until your PS3 sends the packet, your leaderboard stats won't change

So back to the topic, if you do the hack
There is no way IW can trace it
Unless you write to them and ask for your account to be reset

And you can't be banned either
Because everything you've done is not server sided. It is locally done, so legally, everything is allowed and legal
Its your PS3, its your game, the stuff your messing with (MPDATA), is YOUR game save, and legally, (if you live in UK or US), you are allowed to modify game saves, thats why there is sites like GameFAQS where you can DOWNLOAD game saves, and thats why your PS3 allows you to copy, move, and delete game saves

So stop these useless threads, you've got the info, your not going to be banned
The most that can happen is that your account is reset to level 1, again, ONLY if you make yourself stand out like a sore thumb

its impossible IW reset our accounts.... remember the COD WaW prestige glitch, they patched it but all people who did before the update, they keep being last prestige.
