I thought this might help because with all the weapons, attatchments and porks out there I myself find it confusing at times to come up with something solid. So anyways, here are 5 classes that I have found to be very effective in non hardcore game modes.

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, IF YOU DO NOT LIKE IT PLEASE DON'T FLAME. PUT TOGETHER CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM PLEASE.

Class one: I use this to rush often, but it can also be used for defence as well.
Primary: TAR-21 w/silencer
Secondary: M..... (can't remember) Raffica
Equipment: Semtex
Spec. Grenade: Stun/Flash (I find stun better because the animation is quicker)
Perk 1: Sleight of hand (preferably pro)
Perk 2: Stopping power
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Death streak: Painkiller

Class 2: My trusty sniper, this is by far my favourite class, even with it's simplicity.
Primary: intervention (orr barrett) w/ FMJ
Secondary: USP 45. Akimbo
Equipment: Tactical insertion/semtex (depending whether you camp or rush)
Spec. Grenade: Stun/ Flash
Perk 1: Marathon/Sleight of hand
Perk 2: Stopping power
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Death streak: Painkiller

Class 3: All purpose gunning.
Primary: ACR w/ holographic OR silencer
Secondary: USP 45. Akimbo
Equipment: Semtex
Spec. Grenade: stun/ flash
Perk 1: Scavenger (preferably pro)
Perk 2: Stopping power/ Hardline
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Death streak: last stand

Class 4: Camp setup. May be good for getting a nuke also. (yes a bit nooby but it's effective)
Primary: FAMAS w/ silencer
Secondary: Striker w/ red dot
Equipment: Claymore
Spec. Grenade: Stun/Flash
Perk 1: Scavenger pro (virtually unlimited claymores sound good?)
Perk 2: Stopping power/ Cold blooded (CB mainly for nuke setup)
Perk 3: Ninja pro
Death streak: Martyrdom

Class 5: A very effective class for search and destroy, I've found.
Primary: UMP 45. w/ Silencer and holographic sight
Secondary: M.... Raffica w/ red dot and fmj
Equipment: throwing knife/semtex
Spec. Grenade:Stun/Flash
Perk 1: Bling pro
Perk 2: Stopping power pro
Perk 3: Ninja pro
Death streak: Martyrdom

Well, there you have it. My five most effective classes. I hope this guide has somewhat helped you or given you some ideas as to some new setups to try. Please, just remember. This is my opinion, if you dissagree, please do not flame me. Instead reply with some constructive criticism as to how I could maybe improve the classes.

I don't see why people use scavenger and then don't use a launcher your so much more helpful to your team with like a stinger and you don't need ur secondary weapons alot of the time fair do's if ur sniping or knifing but if ur using an assault rifle u might aswell use a stinger

I have ONE stinger class, purely for taking down air support. Launchers are slow and clumbsy and have really no place in the game other for shooting down air support. An actual secondary weapon is much more helpful than any launcher will ever be. Not only is it a quick backup but it is also useful for if you run out of ammo. Imagine it, you're one away from a chopper gunner, and your harrier is down and all you have is a stinger? Yeah.... not a nice experience.

M16 / FAMAS Heartbeat+Silencer
M93 Raffica Extended Mags+Silencer
Semtex
Stuns
Bling Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Ninja Pro

I quite often use the FAMAS/m16 class for Search and destroy, I like it. It's a very useful class. I havn't tried a UMP setup like that before. I do use marathon with it alot but never cold blooded, wouldn't it decrese the damage dramatically with a silencer? I don't know. i'll have to try it out.

for search i love using the M16 w/red dot and silencer its total beast. If your sniping sleight of hand pro is essential especially if you quick scope like me. A lot of classes throughout this post use cold blooded but i tend to just use stopping power most of the time cos i like to kill quick and move straight to the next kill without worrying about me firing 2 bursts instead of 1. but thats just my opinion. anyhow nice post and ill rep and thanks

Thanks for the..... thanks (XD) man. Much apreciated, thanked back. I agree. I don't like using snipers without stopping power cause hitmarkers just annoy me so much. I'll try the M16 w/ rds and silencer. I use that class except with the FAMAS because I'm not a big fan of the M16's iron sights so I just don't bother to level it up. Also, I do some quick scoping but I mostly hard scope. For search and destroy though, I still find sleight of hand pro to be more useful than marathon.

USP Akimbo rocks, and also Deagle Akimbo.

Sorry I took so long to respond. Yeah. USP's are by far my favourite. I think deagles would be great too but it's so hard to level them up I think because of the recoil.
