Sledgehammer, based in the Bay Area, is currently recruiting for a multiplayer designer with “five years experience working on current AAA multiplayer shooters for current consoles and PC.”
The identity of Sledgehammer’s first project is yet to be announced.
Activision’s only Canadian developer is Vancouver-based Radical Entertainment, the studio behind last year’s free-roaming adventure, Prototype.
Rumour surrounding the Call of Duty franchise in general is escalating. A report yesterday claimed that Treyarch is currently putting together a story-focused, Vietnam-based episode in the series for release later this year.

Major Canadian studios most capable of handling this kind of project:
Bioware or Ubisoft Montreal....but they're DEFINITELY no IW....

treyarch was way better then iw what the hell.
IW aee f ups who can't develop a cod thats not full of hacks/glitches as far as developers go treyarch beats them by far.
mw was crap compared to w@w. mw2 is fun and the environments are better but w@w is still a more solid game.
mw & mw2 take 0 skill w@w is a true proving ground.
the amount of people who praise mw is annoying and they obviously where not playing since its release or they would have seen all tthe crap mw produced and still does.
w@w a a few issue but were all taken care of and remains solid.
hopefully mw2 will not get as bad as mw but I doubt it.
