Sledgehammer, based in the Bay Area, is currently recruiting for a multiplayer designer with “five years experience working on current AAA multiplayer shooters for current consoles and PC.”
The identity of Sledgehammer’s first project is yet to be announced.
Activision’s only Canadian developer is Vancouver-based Radical Entertainment, the studio behind last year’s free-roaming adventure, Prototype.
Rumour surrounding the Call of Duty franchise in general is escalating. A report yesterday claimed that Treyarch is currently putting together a story-focused, Vietnam-based episode in the series for release later this year.

Major Canadian studios most capable of handling this kind of project:
Bioware or Ubisoft Montreal....but they're DEFINITELY no IW....

Everyone that is saying Treyarch sucks can you please tell me how they suck. They mess up 1 gun and you complain, Infinity Ward messed up almost all the Asualt Rifles and you say there great. I agree with Pocket Emo WAW is better than MW2, Plus i bet you if Treyarch would have made MW that everyone would be on there dicks right now.

WaW sucks IMO. people keep complaining about MW2 being too noob friendly. IW did this because they didn't want to make a game that only hardcore gamers could be good at like Treyarch did with WaW. The more noob friendly it is, the more people who haven't played games in the CoD series will buy it.

No, I'm not saying that, you idiot. I'm saying that I see where IW is coming from. MW2 would have taken more money than WaW to produce, because there are more guns, more features, better graphics etc. so they would need to find ways to produce more revenue. By making the game noob friendly, it means more noobs will buy it.
