I didn't really make this thread because almost every thread in here is an idea thread, but because I know that our community has the BEST ideas (at times) and would really like to get our ideas out to Robert Bowling at IW.

How this will work: I'll keep this thread open for a while and constantly update this main post with ideas that you guys post separated into different pages. Please ELABORATE on your ideas and take time to make a well structured posts all 1 sentence posts and such will be deleted, this will be seen by IW (hopefully) so I want to show them exactly what the great minds on NGU are capable of.

If you don't have any ideas that you want to post, please take the time to go through the available ideas and "like" the ones that you think would work well, I'll add any idea with alot of likes into this post.

How we will contact IW: It's pretty obvious that Robert Bowling is very active on Twitter, so we're going to bomb him with a link to this thread Winky Winky You can see this as spamming but I see it as ensuring that our ideas are seen and acknowledged by IW.

If you've already made a thread about an idea of yours please repost it in this thread.

This is a culmination of various things I have posted in other threads. I am just hoping IW sees it.

I'm new to forums and this is actually my first post but I have been reading into a lot of ideas from a lot of places.. First of all let me say I have yet to like one of Treyarch's games. WAW was a failed attempt to copy MW1's success and Black Ops was Treyarch completely over correcting the flaws with MW2. I loved and still love MW2 but the OMA noobtoobs, pain killer, and commando were bad. I do like how they tried abandoning overkill by instead giving a wide variety of secondarys; however, this promoted a lack of teamwork. By this I mean that shotguns were to tempting to use over stingers. Treyarch decided they would fix the problem by taking out everything that I just mentioned; however, that was a terrible idea because OMA has more functions than simply providing more noobtubes and there is still a need for good secondarys. In addition to this, Treyarch made killstreaks non-stackable to promote less camping. I think this did the exact opposite because now people camp more because more pressure to get kills by themselves has been applied.
Stackable killstreaks were never a problem. The problem was that no killstreaks were ever shot down. MW2 works fine with the killstreaks so long as someone shoots them down.
Bearing all of this in mind I have one more thing to say about Black Ops. Ghost has become the new stopping power. Treyarch took stopping power out for balancing issues. Thats all fine and dandy but when kill streaks are not stackable causing a vast majority of players to use the UAV ghost becomes abused. It is almost painful to have to choose a first perk in Black Ops because ghost seems like the most logical option. This contridicts MW2 where any first perk worked fine. Some would argue that stopping power in MW2 was a nessesity. I think this couldn't be further from the truth. Since killstreaks are STACKABLE cold blooded was a very viable option along with hardline. This allowed the player to take full advantage of the killstreak system.

OK... so that was necessary to understand my ideas, sorry it was so long.
One other thing.. equipment works like MW2 (no lethal plus equipment like BO)
PERK TIER 1:
1. Scavenger- replenishes ammo and special grenades. PRO 1- Extra ammo at start Pro 2- replenishes frag/semtex/knives(or whatever like thing they put)
2. Sit Rep- allows player to see enemy equipment. Pro 1- Enemies with the noobtube attachment guns will appear red like other equipment when within the range of the MW2 heartbeat sensor. Pro 2- players in the process of using OMA appear within this distance.
3. Overkill- Two primary weapons. Pro 1- faster weapon switching Pro 2- Faster equipment switching.
4. Marathon- Longer Sprint. Pro 1- Faster Climbing over walls, etc. Pro 2- Unlimited Sprint.
5. Hardline- Earn killstreaks one kill earlier. Pro 1- Allows for 2 killstreaks of the same numerical value to be used so long as its less than 8 required kills.(Attack Heli and Harrier can be used) Pro 2- Extra bullet damage on enemy killstreaks.
PERK TIER 2:
1. Cold Blooded- invisible to UAV Pro 1- Invisible to enemy thermal and killstreaks(excluding Black Bird) Pro 2- No red cross hair or name
2. One Man Army- (please do not hate me now and Robert Bowling may have said something about taking this out... I'm not sure; however, this is not how it worked in MW2) Replenishes ammo, equipment(any but only two total out at one time. for example 1 C4 1 Claymore or 1 Camera if it gets put in and 1 Claymore) Obviously also changes to another class in 5 seconds. Pro 1- 4 second change. Pro 2- Do not have the OMA backpack on back.(still seen by sit rep pro)
3. Flask Jacket- Same as Black Ops. Pro 1- Reduced enemy killstreak damage. Pro 2- Resets fuse on grenades when picked up.
4. Bling- Unlimited weapon attachments excluding noobtube and silencer. Also no impossible combinations. Pro 1- Noobtube can be added on. Combination must still be possible. Pro 2- Silencer can be added on. Combination must still be possible.
5. Steady Aim- Increased hip fire accuracy. Pro 1- No falling damage. Pro 2- Longer Breath for snipers.
6. Sleight of Hand- Same as MW2. Pro 1- Quicker ADS for all guns excluding snipers. Pro 2- Quicker ADS for snipers.
PERK TIER 3:
1. Lightweight- Same as MW2. Pro 1- Same as MW2. Pro 2- Faster knifing recovery.
2. Dead Silence- Same as Ninja in BO. Pro 1- Enemys are louder. Pro 2- Makes you completely silent.
3. Houdini- Appear slightly off actual position on enemy UAV or while firing a non-silenced weapon. Pro 1- Footstep noise player makes is reduced 50%(not completely silent like the ninja perk) Pro 2- For the first 3 seconds when you plant a bomb the enemy is informed the wrong target.
4. Scrambler- Same as MW2. Pro 1- Enemy equipment doesn't trip/detonate Pro 2- Allows user to turn enemy equipment friendly.
5. Danger Close- Explosives excluding noobtubes are more powerful. Pro 1- Launchers capable of locking onto enemy aircraft are un effected by flares from killstreak rewards requiring less than 7 kills. Pro 2- Extra killstreak damage.

This perk set up prevents the dreaded marathon lightweight ninja set up while still allowing marathon ninja or marathon lightweight for tactical games like search or rushers respectively. OMA is now a team support perk because it allows the user to switch to a launcher without having to forfeit the OMA perk and allows him/her to still acquire kill streaks via abused equipment. The OMA process would show up for Sit Rep pro users. Also OMA users are unable to switch to a Cold Blooded class and still maintain OMA as they did in MW2 due to the set up. This promotes the shooting down of killstreaks. For the fast paste players steady aim and sleight of hand are 2 perk options allowing for their use in combination with marathon and ninja respectively. Tactical players can now take advantage of scavenger and bling at the same time; however, they will have to opt out of cold blooded. This allows them to "tactically camp" while exposing them to killstreaks due to the inability to use cold blooded.

As you can see I have put a good deal of thought into this. Most of this has actually been based off of extensive demolition play in MW2 which in my opinion is the fastest paste game type with the most killstreaks. It is often played like team D but I play it to win so I understand the technicalities of the perks and their uses in a STACKABLE killstreak environment.

KILLSTREAKS: STACKABLE
3- UAV with a flare but still just as easy to shoot down with bullets.
4- Sentry Gun(the fact that you have to air drop it and it doesn't count towards the players killstreak call for it to be lower due to its supportive function.
4-Counter UAV with flare. cannot be shot down with bullets.
5- Precision airstrike (in my experience worse than Pred.)
5-Care Package
6- Predator Missile
7- Harrier with airstrike but no flare.
7-MW1 attack helicopter with flare.
7-Stealth Bomber(silent entry)
8- Emergency Airdrop
airstrike similar to Napalm in BO.
9- Pavelow 2 flares.. pilot can be shot by sniper
10- Black Bird 3 flares non replenishing
11- AC130 with 2 flares replenishing every 10 seconds
12- Chopper Gunner 1 flare replenishing every 7 seconds
13- EMP
15-??? Puts the user in a AC130 type view where he/she has as much time as desired to fire 3 predator missiles(click R-trigger to shoot and again to speed up); however, if user is killed while on laptop he/she is kicked out of the plane. Can't be shot down.
Emergency airdrops cannot contain Black Bird, EMP, or ???.
Care Package cannot contain EMP or ???. Also Black BIrd has a 1% chance of appearing.
EMP disables enemy equipment, radar, destroys killstreaks (not users like in MW2) and makes launchers unable to lock on.
Need a name for ???. It is very useful on game modes such as demolition because it gives a god view of the map with the ability to kill at any time.
^^^^ Other idea: Game ending killstreak at 25; however, if selected only one other killstreak can be used.

THIS WAS BASED ON TEAMWORK AND PRESTIGEING... Ok so a lot of people have been complaining that COD is not played like a team game. I agree. I was wondering what y'alls ideas were? Here is mine.

Black ops kind of did this where to get pro perks the player was forced to plant bombs, etc. This was a good start; however, it was Black Ops which I think most would agree was a bad game that doesn't really seem to play right. I think Treyarch went wrong with two things here: 1) The currency system and 2) The challenges were much to easy to complete.

So my thoughts on #1.
The currency system allowed the player to buy any perk of their desire. This made it to where a lot of perks were never even bought or used in addition to the good ones being acquired and abused by many many players, for example Ghost.

Thoughts on #2
So you they player just bought ghost. 2000 COD points right? How long did it take you to get pro... Well you had to 1) kill 20 enemies while they had a UAV- easy... 2) Knife a Sentry Gun- just equip it yourself and give it to them... 3) Shoot down 30 enemy killstreaks- pretty easy considering almost everyone runs UAV. So this might take you 10 games tops and by then you have the money to buy pro. The only challenges that promoted teamwork were shooting down killstreaks- 30 OF THEM- and knifing ONE SENTRY GUN. Now theres a team player.

So for MW3:
I was thinking that the way we unlock stuff goes back to the old days of leveling up; however, COD's appeal has always been its vast amount of customization. I also think there has always been two types of players: the ones that get the kills and the ones that do the dirty work to capture/plant/shoot down stuff, granted there is the occasional player that posses all of these traits. Black Ops currency system did give the player a lot of choices, but it was to much choice. I think that MW3 unlocks should be based on this premise: Firstly the privilege to unlock a gun is acquired through leveling up; however, to actually get it I think the player should have a "kill bank" instead of currency. Secondly the privilege to get non-pro perks is the same as MW2 and MW1-just level up. The catch is that the perk branches out into two pro perk options allowing the player the decision on where to go with the perk. To get Pro perks one must complete team tasks and the challenge must be difficult.

So for the guns lets use MW2 as an example. Every one would start out with the basic guns: Famas, UMP, etc. THESE GUNS ARE GOOD so before you say awe if kills get you guns then this really hinders team players, ALL PLAYERS WILL HAVE GOOD GUNS AND I DO NOT DOUBT THAT IW HAS PUT GOOD GUNS IN THE BEGINNING. This means that low levels can still compete with high ones. So you have leveled up to level 8. The SCAR becomes available for purchase. Lets say it would require 150 kills for purchase. Not to easy but not to hard. The process would go on as such with increasing difficulty to get the required kills. In the meantime you can work on perks.... Also bear in mind you are not obligated to purchase the SCAR.

For Perks lets used Cold-Blooded as an example: at level 25 you would get Cold-Blooded and all of the basic benefits from it automatically In this case just invisible to UAV. Then it would branch into two separate pro versions each requiring an extensive team play challenge. Lets say Pro Perk 1 was no red name or cross hair when targeted.. This may take 200 enemy aircraft shot down, a challenge with no Pavelow glitch. Pro perk 2 would be Invisible to enemy killstreaks and thermals. This would take lets say 50 bomb plants and 20 bomb defuses. However, you are only allowed one of the unlocks. Also lets say that you shoot down 200 kill streaks before defusing 20 and planting 50. You do not automatically get it, you must choose it.
Now I know your probably thinking: The second option far out weighs the first and i completely agree. Every perk would have the "obvious option". This is where the prestige topic coms into play. Its has always been since WAW i believe that for all your hard work for prestigeing you get an extra create a class. Most of the time the reward came with every other prestige. My thoughts are this: Prestige once and get the ability to have both pro perk options for two perks of your choice. Depending on how many perks there are would determine how the pattern of rewards goes up until the highest prestige. At the same time the player would also receive extra create a classes.
THIS WAS A REPLY TO THE POST ABOVE TO A FRIEND OF MINE THAT ASKED THE FOLLOWING QUESTION.............SAVAGEGRANDPA, on 19 July 2011 - 02:09 PM, said:
So you said that the currency system was a flaw, which bases getting things by way of money earned from kills and other achievements. You also provided the idea of a "kill-bank system". Now wouldn't these two systems be quite similar? You earn money to buy guns by killing people, and then you achieve kills for you "kill-bank" in order to buy guns. Just curious on what you thought about that.

Thats an excellent question random person that I do not not but I am happy you asked it. I am sorry I was not clear enough in my post, it was written quickly. Since the guns in Black Ops were unlocked by level the currency system somewhat worked for them; however, the currency system did not work for perks because of the reasons I stated above. I am not sure but I think Treyarch attempted to use the perchasing of guns as a means to balence the currency system so not all of the perks could be bought quickly. It was a decent idea, I just think that mine is better which I will elaborate on now...

Earlier i mentioned that I believe there are two types of players: those that get killstreaks and those that do the dirty work. I am not saying that either is better because killstreaks provided by teammates help those that do the dirty work. The "kill-bank system" is basically currency yes but I just felt there was more satisfaction in knowing exactly what you need to do to get a gun instead of a game score based currency. You may or may not agree which I respect. This system also rewards the killstreak player because obviously they are getting the kills.. The balancing factor is that the dirty work players get the good pro perks.. My system, in my opinion leads to a community of players getting both killstreaks and dirty work stuff. I may be wrong.

In addition to this, I did not feel the need to add it earlier but since you kind of lead to it I will, weapon attachments will be similar to MW2 in the ways by which they were unlocked with one minor change: the shotgun attachment is not unlocked by noobtubes.

Also for the kill bank system: noobtube kills do not count; car bombs and other explosions brought about by a noobtube will. I believe a noobtube is a necessity in the game because it helps deal with campers.

-Custom Camos: Lots of different camos, you just choose the colors to put into the design
-Infinity Ward already said there is no One Man Army, Commando, and Game ending nuke so good
-No Stopping Power: This leaves room to pick perks such as cold-blooded or hardline
-Killstreaks would be based by score such as 100 points equals 1 kill towards your killstreak except in free-for-all where 50 points goes towards your killstreak so to encourage people to actually take objectives in objective game modes
-More killstreaks, like 3 killstreaks for killstreaks requiring 3 kills, 3 kills requiring 4 kills, etc. all the way to 15 or maybe 20, if you dont like killstreaks go to pure game modes so they get taken out, also killstreaks will be nonstackable
-Killstreak cycle: Cycle through your killstreaks to pick which one to use instead of having to use the current killstreak to get to the one behind it
-Hardcore variation of every game mode
-War: my favorite game mode in all of Call of Duty
-More small maps, ranging from Shipment size to Scrapyard size, maybe like 4 in total because i read somewhere that there is going to be 20 multiplayer maps on the disc
-Custom Emblems: Just like black ops but maybe even more layers like 20
-Custom Titles: Like FNG in MW2 but you write your own
-Custom backgrounds: basically what goes behind the title and maybe a lot of premade backgrounds too
-No Deathstreaks, just my personal opinion, some poeple like them cause it helped but i didnt like martydom or final stand
-Same secondary weapon style as MW2
-More weapons, like 10 or more of each type like assault rifles, shotguns, etc.
-Cool assassinations like halo where you do a short cut scene if you knife people in the back
-Some type of armory system where you completely customize your character and make it your own such as choosing their clothes, glasses, gloves, shoes, skin color, nose size, etc.
-3 disc pack, like Campaign on one disc, Spec Ops on the other, and Multiplayer on the third
-Co-op campaign and a very long and linear campaign, minimum of like 20 hours to complete it
-More private match options than even halo (which will be hard to do)
-Combat Training to be offline to keep it seperated from online
-Combat Training bots to be able to play any game mode and have about 10 difficulties
-Combat Training to have all the features of actual multiplayer and their own leaderboards, each one though seperated by difficulty, like you have different accs for each difficulty, such as leveling on difficulty 1 doesnt increase your level on difficulty 10
-Up to 24 players online and combat training
-Night version of maps
-different goggles, like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare had night vision googles but have more options like Thermal, Snake vision, etc.
-More perk pro levels such as Hardline --> Hardline Pro --> Hardline Elite or something like that
-I heard CoD points are not returning which means no wager matches
-Contracts but just for XP (I dont know what you would buy them with though)
-Cheats for campaign after you beat it but the cheats can only be used on the difficulty you beat the mission on, just like goldeneye for the N64, but more options such as ac-130 missiles replace your bullets, god mode, ufo mode, etc.
-DLC to include spec ops missions, new maps, and maybe some campaign missions to answer some unanswered questions or things like Ghost's backstory
-maybe DLC for MW2 and/or MW maps (some of them or all of them)
-some new game modes for online like infection or VIP (change it to make it your own though if its copyrighted)
-interactable maps like Radiation where you can close the doors in the middle of the map or Kowloon with the ziplines
-i would like some really cool chase scene parts for levels in campaign and for MacMillan to return in MW3 and for missions like One Shot, One Kill

That's all i can think of for now, but I'll post if i get any new ideas

i believe they should allow any kind of mod to be programmed into the private match to where if you are in a private match you can just toggle on super jump, super speed, health amount, mike myers, quickscope lobby, and stuff like that... because having this in a private match wont do anything to the online matches since its only private match but yeah... i like getting out of maps and exploring so that would make the game fun for me Happy

Personally I like the idea of unlocking emblems and such and not just buying it with gay ass "cod" points. It makes you have more of a sense of a goal. You actually have to complete a cool or difficult challenge to unlock stuff.. It makes the game much MUCH less boring. I can't even play Black Ops anymore I'm so bored with it.:puke:
