why is it that sniping has gone from tactical support to "quick scope or your a gay hard scoping noob"?

when i played cod4 and WAW people never complained about hard scoping because that was the normal thing to do as a sniper. to me it seems like quick scoping has not only become the normal thing to do but most of the people that do it look down on people that don't do it. i understand that it is fun to quick scope but its just idiotic to complain about someone using a sniper in its intended way.

honestly i think it has become this because of the jump in the amount of little kids that got into the cod series during mw2.
what do you guys think of it?
do you quick scope? and if so do you look down at people that sit back and snipe?

i know this is just a rant but i want to know what you guys think about how much snipping has changed in the newer cod games.

Just do what I do n don't listen to them. I quick scope all the time. I don't look down on Snipers. I only get mad in a 1v1 quick scoping match.

I know right,I can't get into one game using a sniper w/out getting hate mail.If I hardscope everyone complains.I really really hate it when you hardscope someone and they say your a "fag".Or you can't quickscope,but they aren't even sniping,they are using a Famas.So if I hardscope you while you have a Famas I'ma noob.Because I didn't quickscope somebody with a Famas I'm now a noob.I don't get it at all.Of course I'm going to ****ing hardscope you Kid!

I get what you mean. I dont know when the transition went from actually having skill to trying to impress every random you meet. You can probably blame mw2 for how easy it was

Snipping? Seriously? Well I tend to find if you hold the scissors upright....

But generally just do whatever the hell you want, people complain about deaths either way, who cares.
