Well, at one time or another, Search and Destroy used to be a moderately fun gamemode where you could play with IRL friends / Online met friends,
equip yourself with your mic and have a blast.

You can run around and enjoy yourself, plant the bomb, and get on with the game.
... In the meantime, bashing your friend for making that noobie mistake, or screwing your whole team out of the win.

... Where Search and Destroy went wrong was... I would like to say MW2.
Not only did they nerf the 4 wins that you got for winning the match, which was always a favorite for me, they had also made your score go from
completely great (500/kill) to (50/kill) with the compensation of the 500/kill going towards EXP instead.

Yeah, sure, you still level greatly, but WTF, I mean, not only is S& not good for kills, it was no longer good for wins nor score!

With the added in Heartbeat Sensor, plus the ClusterF**k of Childish 12 year olds with "your mama" jokes + the whole lot of campers, it went from
an all-time favorite of mine, to a rarely played gamemode on my account.

And not to mention the 1337z0R R4p3rz Clans with their UMP45 and RPG.

I have to completely agree with you, ths was the only game mode I played until MW2 when it was thought shameful to plant the bomb as it had all became about kills mainly kills cam. That game was then for 13 year old trying to hit a shot on someone standing still to get "famous" on YouTube. MW3 isn't as bad but I cannot say I have been in a game yet where the enemy planted the bomb :/

I loved Cod4 SnD!
I remember camping underground in Pipeline, placing C4 on the Objectives and keeping it as tactical as possible.

Now.. I pick up my UMP, run to their spawn, kill all the 6 "qUiCkScOperZz" and go :megusta:

i used to love SnD in MW2 for:

noobtube spawn killing
C4/claymore combo traps
ninja defusing

the maps are just shit now for it

I loved ninja defusing + noobtube at start of the rounds

nope, i still love SnD and i just go beasting in pubs. i seem to only get lobbies with rushers, and they still dont phase me. i :love: search

not to brag but clutching is super easy for me because Dead Silence isn't used when people dont have headsets

I totally agreed with you on this. I earned hundreds of Wins in sabo, then I decided to hop on S& with my buddies since we felt we were ready to take on some challenges, and boy, it was huge disappointing for us. We were so pissed, we got a loss. We tried to rush them, spray them, but they camped at their own spawn, with their hearbeat sensor, and this little roundy annoying equiment where they explode when you step on them. I was eventually pissed, So I quitted S&. Not gonna play it anymore, I guess.

also the kids who act like their not playing , gets me annoyed . It has happened more than once they stay in their spawn and once you get near they just kill you . Also the issue that in this game panic knifing is a bigger problem then BOs.
