I myself have a 75/45 connection. ADSL. I run ~6ms ping. I'm ALWAYS host. Maybe you should think about getting a dedicated connection, instead of sharing with your neighbours. So you can actually have speeds like advertised.

Ok as far as DSL connections for gaming its quite clear DSL is not the way to go. I've been gaming since dialup was around playing QUAKE on my 56k modem so please don't try and school me on whats best for online gaming. I've had every type of connection and Cable is far superior to DSL as far as ur 'ms' thats the milliseconds to the server you're pinging i can ping 9ms to a server thats 50miles from me

Nothing special about that, and yes even after my 'Power Boost' goes away im still downloading at 3MBPS and uploading at 300KBPS
But yes obviously you could run a much better dedicated server with ur far superior DSL connection as oppose to my crappy Cable connection

I'm guessing american cable connection isn't great, Im from the UK and I am running a 100Mb down and 10Mb up (Domestic UK upload speeds are poor), this is on a fibre optic line and it's stable, I always get around 100Mb (around 97-100) and upload is around 9.5.

ADSL is not bad either, I was with AOL before I switched to cable in 2009. I live in a flat and all my neighbours have either sky, bt or talk talk, the depressing thing is that their connections are unstable for them, however even when I was on ADSL with AOL I would still get host and the connection never dropped.

I never though phone line would have that much bandwith. At the end of it all, it's the upload speed and line quality that matters.

Yes, with my connection it's a 75 Down 45 Up connection. It's required for my TV. As I have Bell's Fibe TV.

That's using Wireless on a VERY old Laptop(Old enough it's still on XP...) While downloading, having 6 PS3's online... And 3 smart phones... If I had my Desktop, and shut everything off my results would be much higher. If you feel like Google'ing it, you'll see it's an ADSL Provider that's above 24/3. You won't see my plan listed yet, it will be soon. I'm doing a "trial" on their Fibe TV as it hasn't been fully released. Not to mention, I don't share my connection with ANYONE.

Edit:

I also have 17 tabs with Chrome open. 3 of them being HD Vids on YT, and 2 of the PS3's are running HD on Netflix.

Yes! Hopefully this will actually get fixed and not just another lie IW has made. Getting killed and watching the killcam and you see something completely different really pisses me off.

Climbing up the ladder
Why did they even include lagg compensation in the game....
You get what you pay for, if people dont want a good connection then thats there problem
People who pay for Fibre optic or the 100Mbps package should be at no disadvantage because once again, you get what you pay for.
Its rediculous knowing some guy with a shitty connection can see you 1 second before you even see them, lets see how IW 'fix' this up, i gaurantee it wont change :/
