Ok so let's address topic #1

"I miss the Good Ole Cod4 Days"

- Ok so basically the reason why people like call of duty 4 so much, is that it reminds them of all the memories and joy they had playing their first cod. It reminds you of meeting new friends, and just having fun constantly.

For example, some people who just started playing mw3, could start cod 4, and simply not like it. The reason being, is your brain is hardwired to recognize that you really enjoyed your first game, and have lots of memories on it. Mine personally is Unreal Tournament 3.

Topic #2 (Each New Cod is Worse Than The Other)

This also, but not entirely has to do with your brain also. The reason behind this, is that you set you expectations so high, that when they are not reached, you are compulsed to feel dislike towards the game. Sure, the game may have faults, but because you expected what you invisioned as your perfect cod, each new game you feel isn't that amazing.

The fun behind cod in my opinion isn't gameplay. Its the time you spend having fun with friends, playing private match, or w/e your favorite memories may be. Without having friends, or at least playing around, I don't see how a repetetive game like Call of Duty could be entertaining.

I agree, we all set our expectations high, and often get disappointed.
COD4 was my first COD to play, and i loved it, and yes the series has improved over time, and also things have been made worse. But i can see where you coming from

The "this current COD game sucks,but the previous was great" BS is simple. The people who dislike the games are the ones commenting most often times. The people who hated Black Ops were very active last year, praising IW yet now the people who hate MW3 are praising 3arc. It's the result of having millions of gamers playing the series.

COD4 was great mostly because it was new and it was FOUR years ago. Hell, lots of things were great and new four years ago. I'm not debating COD4 being great because it was. However, there were less players and less things that made people rage.

Campers, "overpowered" guns, annoying perks ALL existed back then. Difference is there was 3-4 annoying issues as opposed to 5 or more.

More players means more issues as well as more players coming up with excuses. There is also more people taing the anti establishment people like to take against companies.

As far as people not caring about k/d,that itself is a false statement. Everyone with a good k/d doesn't have to camp or lose sleep over it. If you have fun playing with pistols, doing 360 no scopes and could care less about your score. That it is your preference, but don't expect others to not try to win and get kills because you either suck or don't care.

COD4 was great. So was Super Nintendo. So was Pamela Anderson.

So youre saying if the later the Cods get the worse graphics/ smoothness its my brains fault?
Lol you do realize we dont have high expectations, look at Cod4. A 16 year old could make that game, all we need is a Remodified Cod4. With all that Juggernaut, Martydom , Last stand shit gone away.

We want a game where it takes skill to kill someone.. and lastly it shouldnt be labeled 18+ where 11+ year olds play it

Considering IW and Treyarc both only hire the most impressive, and talented software engineers, graphic designers, programmers, I highly doubt a 16 yr old can make this. I'm in computer science in ****ing college, and I couldn't at this moment create a game like call of duty.

This is sort of true, but I can say without a doubt that CoD4 was the best, yet my best memories are from world at war.

One reason i dont like the newer cod games is because theyre moving away from the roots of CoD4. By adding all of these new elements, the game isnt as simple and fluid as cod4 was. Cod4 was all about winning gunfights, whereas Mw3 is about getting high killstreaks and controlling the map, which promotes camping and "cheap" tactics.

I started playing with the original CoD. It was only out on PC, I went on to play the UO expansion, CoD2, CoD4, WaW, MW2, Black Ops, MW3...

Most of my "fond memories" are with CoD2 (PC). The community was a lot better than any console game I've played. It was also a lot easier to arrange competitive matches, PUGs, setup gaming communities on dedicated servers.

They may have come out with better games, but the PC era of CoD was a lot better experience than what is out today.

no for me its like this cod4/w@w k/s 3,5,7 , very minimal/almost obsolete campers , new game about war so it was mostly Adults playing , Mw2 and on , full of killstreaks so more people camp , Cod became mainstream meaning a flash flood of immature little jitter bugs who spew nonsense and racial slur over mics , and from then on the community has become so retarded that everyone wishes it was back to cod4
