I already addressed this in the other thread, this if you can't beat them join them ideology. The problem is you can't beat them. Overkill is balanced in the sense that there are just as many good tier 2 perks so your point in flawed. Noob-tubing has destroyed MW2 far worse than any one thing could have ever had and yet all it took was a simple fix for them to do it. Hell, if tubes followed the same formula as in CoD4, OMA wouldn't have even been an issue. How can even you even argue that MW2 is better when you haven't even played the game in its prime. Playing it during its peak is entirely different than going back to it long after a majority of its population moved onto its sequel.
CoD4 is held in high regard because it was close to perfection. Contrary to popular belief, the trinity of juggernaut, stopping power and rapid fire created an incredibly balanced system. Looking back the only thing I would personally change is 3 frags which would have mended had they added flak jacket as a perk. Personally I hold Black OPs in just a high regard as CoD4 because unlike IW, Treyarch actually delivered a CoD that featured true gun on gun action.
Hahahaha. Nice try. You will NEVER,EVER hear me talk about "balance". I don't care about balance in the slightest. I don't give a shit if a game features a FAMAS and MP40 and the rest of the guns are F2000 amd vector. I don't give two shits about that. So I haven't ever nor will I post about caring about balance. Instead of worrying and rying about how powerful I find something to be because it killed me, I would rather figure out a way to even the playing fied rather that's by soundwhoring, a better connection, playing in a party or worst case using the overpowered weapon to compete.
This isn't if you can't beat em, join em. It's the Adjust to your opponent, not force your opponent to adjust to you or a online gaming isn't for everyone so use it as motiviation to compete and overcome the odds or stay offline mentality. I didn't see combat noobtubes with noobtubes,or combat Support with Support. Simply,we all have a knife and the same secondary. MP9, G18 and 2 of the pistols are good secondaries. So why not beast with those to show the Akmibo FMGusers who's boss? I know because it's easier to want to dumb down a game to benefit you as opposed to accepting a challenge. It's a secondary, not danger close and oma...
Oh and I actually really liked BO because if you were good or had a party you'd dominate. There was no way the enemy could get a killstreak over 5. Blackbirds, Dogs and Helis helped you dominate more which sucks only if you're the enemy. Again, I'm the type who prefers to be the one dominating instead of having the nerve to say something is "too powerful" but that's just me. I also played COD4 before MW2. Thing is, I was literally a noob but COD4 got me hooked. I had 2 days on COD4 and 20 on MW2. So it's easier for me to not look at COD4 with rose colored glasses because I feel MW2 was better regardless and I was actually better at COD4. The simplicity made it somewhat easier for me,which is another reason people overrate an already great game. New COD arre noob friendly but in no way does that mean good players won't still dominate.
It's one thing to wish a game was closer to it's roots however, you can't become that cliche of hating something because it goes big time. COD had to grow, and within a few years it'll be shit. By then the PS4 and 720 will be out and we'll buy the new COD and have these same debates... Assuming that's your honest Elite then not only is that the best I have ever seen but it shows how people like to nitpick for the sake of arguing.
