The patch is ALREADY out for the Xbox 360 just to inform you guys that don't know.

I was watching the MW3 livestream today (Jan 24) on Machinimarespawn and they were talking about the patch incoming for the PS3 and already released for the Xbox. So I did a little research and found this on the CallofDuty Website. Towards the bottom is the incoming patch updates. Source You must login or register to view this content.

Note: The patch towards the bottom (Bold) has already been released on Xbox so this is for PS3 only.


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Update History (All Platforms included)

TU1: Enabled Theater, Vault, Private Match options, Elite and Facebook functionality for Launch Day.

TU2: Fix for YouTube video upload on SD TVs. Matchmaking Improvements.

TU3: Theater Improvements (Fix to FF and RW in Theater), LAG improvements, Improvements to Hot Fix system.

TU4: Change to address hitching and lag in gameplay.

TU5: Further improvements for hitching and addressing lag in gameplay.

TU6: Additional improvements to address lag. Fix for Melee Jump. Clan Tag Validation (remove buttons from clan tags). Improve Host Migration logic. Prevent stat loss when player loses connection from server (internet pull / drop).

TU7: Improvement to address "Host Disadvantage" / "Lag Compensation" that caused hosts with good connections to be hindered. Plus ability to hot fix additional tweaks based on user feedback to this change.

No Recoil glitch
Infinite Laptop killstreak glitch (Stealth Bomber Glitch)
Map Exploits (Getting into trucks, under maps) Fix
Prevent Slow-mo and Super Fast lobbies
Fire rate normalization for Assault Rifles with undermounts
FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf)
Akimbo FMG9 Re-balancing (Nerf)
Type95 Re-balancing (Nerf) - Reduce hipspread.
Fix for ACR with Red Dot / Shotgun
Fix Type 95 bug related to dropping it.
Fix map exploits on Dome
PS3 Hitmarker Sound
Adjust direct impact damage a Semtex does to a Juggernaut (No longer 1 hit kill)
Improvements to "weighted matchmaking" to improve games for regions with low populations.
Improvements to the Spawn Logic and Spawn System.
Fix for the any Proficiency on any gun exploit.
Buff to all other shotguns except shotguns.
Striker Re-balancing. (Nerf)
YouTube upload speed improved. (MW3 to YouTube)
Theatre mode fixes (error code 7 and out of memory)
Damage proficency exploit glitch/ prestige token glitch

Re-balancing and Updates currently in Development and/or Discussion:

Further improvements to the Spawn system
Improvement to PS3 Mic Quality.
Several improvements to theater cued up for January release including HD rendering on PS3.
Default :30 Round Start timer for System Link only, while looking into adjustable timer for System Link games for Competitive Play.
Options to allow System Link players to 'unlock all' for competitive play in System Link only.

Default :30 Round Start timer for System Link only, while looking into adjustable timer for System Link games for Competitive Play.

Why did they patch the extended mag shotgun glitch on MW3? Leave replies telling me if this was a good or bad move. Personally I think they should not have done this because shotguns were pretty bad IMO (except striker) but at least they buffed the other shotties.
Majic do you think that the shotguns in MW3 are decent or any good?

No not yet, I believe it will be released when the maps come out for PS3.

Yeah there decent but I can't wait for the buff on the shotguns when the patch comes out for the PS3.

this is only out for 360. its going to come out later for ps3. lets see if the shotgun buff makes up for the extended mags. what abt the token glitch? sooooo many people abused it by now and is everyone who exploited it going to be banned?

Yeah I don't know about token glitch but I know there still banning people for it, and it might be included in the next PS3 patch.

I've had times where I've gotten 3-4 hitmarkers on one guy with the KSG (and the SPAS, Model, and AA-12 too) but trust me, once you get damage and extended mags on each of these guns, they become good as hell. The Model being the only exception because it doesn't have EM, so it's still kind of random even with damage. But after all upgrades, my order of best to worst in shotguns (excluding Striker):

1) AA-12
2) USAS12
3) KSG-12
4) SPAS-12
5) Model 1887

Not saying the KSG is bad but I think the others are better. It's still a 1 hit kill about 85-90% of the time.


I love using the KSG with damage. The best thing is when people rage at you for using it and call it cheap, when it takes a ton of difficult grinding to get.

No kidding bro. Every damn time I use a shotgun (whether it be a KSG, the Model, the SPAS, the USAS, etc.) I get called a shotgun fag using gay overpowered one-shot kill guns.. It is funny to listen to them though.. And the funny part is when they try to copy you the next game by pulling out a level 1 shotgun (or even the default Striker class).. haha makes my games soo much easier with them getting 3-4 hit markers every time they try to kill me and me using my damage Shotgun to get a 1 hit kill from 5 feet away.

The Anthem
It's not on PS3 yet nor PC. On PC, they're just shit because they got a hotfix that removed the Xmags glitch. I hope to see it soon on PS3. If you can rapid fire with the KSG, you will overcome all of the shotguns.
