In my opinion, IW went too far with tweaking secondaries. Secondary akimbo should only apply to pistols. I remembered how OP the akimbo G18s in mw2 were. That should have served as a future warning for IW, but I guess not. /endrant.

They are way more powerful than I think they were intended to be. That's my problem with them. If a lobby is using them to death I whip them out. But like said before I'm sure that a secondary akimbo was not supposed to be designed to be better than some primary SMGs in the game.

Exactly my point. I'm pretty sure IW must realize this by now. My question is, why haven't they taken "real action" against this? Just what are the opportunity costs when it comes to drastically nerfing the FMGs?

DMH was a mistake. You don't even have the slightest chance or opportunity to escape death if you're close enough to the enemy (UNLESS you're running blast shield).

Probably has become a natural, instinctive way of defending ones death. I mean, you don't hear people who die now and then and say, "damn, he pulled one me alright," or "shit I should have known better." For me, I'm guessing it's a way of defending ones pride. Rather than admitting defeat and showing signs of weakness and humliation, people intend to find excuses as an escape route.
