The majority of complaints(at times downright petty and girly) are based of guys knifing threw our bullets or "panic" knifing.

Well if you make it so the knife is powerless against bullets,the "panic knife/lunges are over.

It would still be 1 hit:
Backstabs.
Against players not shooting.(its your fault you react slower than FEMA during Katrina)

I agree with his idea but maybe to fix it the guns should actually kill in the 3 bullets close range which the stats tell us they do. If a SMG is 3 hit close range the guy should not be able to knife you threw your hipfire. I disagree with him in the fact that he's saying we don't get panic knifed as much as we say. So many players out there panic knife and it sometimes really ruins a nice streak and as a rusher the way it currently is I'm at a disadvantage to anyone who is scared and mashes R3 when I get the first shots of my gun into them. It really makes no sense. It is very funny to see someone lunge at you and hit air as you moonwalk away lol, Best laughs of MW3 cuz the knife animation looks so funny.

Only way to find a solution which fits COD is to playtest a couple ideas and see what fits into COD. Which is where BF3 got there system from high TTK means the knife is weak so that close combat is not ruled by the knife.
Your idea is one of many ways of doing the knife.

Quite like it along with a couple other ideas. Like lower damage , less range , longer recover time , no knife aim assist , no knife but hitting a guy with your weapon , remove melee completely.
I think a BF3 style system would work well within COD.
So 2 hit kill along with it being slow to attack. If you hold it one hit kill.

No I dont hate all fps I said I hate mw3 and campers there are lots of fps people dont camp in pro mod on cod4 also cs 1.6 most of the time...

. Unlike most people here I don't just make threads selfishly. Meaning I'm not going to get killed by Deadman's Hand 1 away from a Osprey or in general and feel the need to come here making some, "OMG, I hate MW3 crybaby thread. I don't have much issue with knifing because I look at it as the guy reacting quicker and me stupidly trying to shoot a guy 3 feet away when I could have knifed.

I also tend to counter "panic" knifing by drop shotting or moving away from the enemy as I shoot in close quarters... Although I'm sure just constantly bitching about it is an easier solution...

That being said, just because I don't feel it as being as big of an issue as people here seem to doesn't mean I can't offer an objective point of view AND an intelligent idea to stop "panic" knifing. But I'm sure just ranting is an easier solution. And how do you even know the enemy is "panicking" as opposed to just reacting really fast? Lunges and people knifing through my bullets are ****ing annoying and watching people think to knife first from 10 ft away is funny... However, I guarantee you the amount of times people knife through my bullets are very small. It doesn't happen anymore often than a guy shooting me while I'm around a corner.

I never claimed "panic" knifing didn't happen, just the amount of times it happens is a lot less frequent than people here believe. It's a damn knife. I just view things differently. If a camper kills me 3 times in a row, I move on to avoid giving him a KS or wonder why the hell can't I not kill this lame ass dude and call for backup... People here would rather beg IW to make some stupid mechanism that kils you if you sit still for 3 seconds.

If a lot of people complain about panic knifing it's a legit problem, and I also drop shot and moonwalk away from panic knifers but in both instances I can still get killed. 1 because the aim assist allows them to knife me in the head as I lay prone which is BS or 2 because the commando lunge that some people get, which were points brought up in this and another thread. Everyone doesn't have to be on the same page but I don't just rant for nothing, I dislike only the problems in the game. This is a legit problem because as stated before too many random factors determine who wins a knife battle so for it to be a 1 hit kill is cheating some people out of that killstreak on the next kill or that MOAB on the next kil, and yes when it happens in those instances it's natural to rage the most. But if many others feel your pain and have been in the same situation it's obviously an issue.

My solution would make the panic knife obsolete. Your knife WOULD NOT work while bullets are hitting you. Also getting knifed while you drop shot could be explained the same way toy get shot around corners... Lag or a late drop shot attempt or maybe a panic dropshot???
