Confirmed by users saying via in game message when firing up the multiplayer side of MW3, it is
now confirmed the first Double XP weekend is coming for Modern Warfare 3. This weekend will be the
set date for players to possibly hit that next prestige.
UPDATE: Robert Bowling just confirmed via Twitter that the double XP event will be for ALL platforms (Xbox, PS3, and PC)
and all playlists as well. Which means those who love Drop Zone and Infected can get in on the double XP rewards as well.
I unfortunately don't have any way to get the picture of the tweet (because I'm at work and not a personal laptop) but

Man that sucks though. I thought the first dlc was supposed to be available to PS3 non-premiums this month? I haven't been actively keeping up with it though since I have premium.
They can't keep abusing PS3 folks like this. There is nothing in their contract with Microsoft that controls double xp weekends!

Like there was nothing in the contract about the 5 new prestiges, yet ps3 got them a week later. Its most likely due to dlc being released for all xbox live users.
But if you remember on black ops ps3 got a double xp weekend when xbox got the map packs so I dont know why they would have changed it to this.

Yeah I see this is the way IW is going to do it. It would be nicer for them to do what Treyarch did with BO
and do double XP for the opposite console that didn't get the maps, but when has IW ever been nice to PS3 folks? :dumb:
