I have noticed on my current game (Max payne 3) which came out only a few weeks ago and got great reviews, that no one really actualy plays it?

Go on COD on any platform and will always be atleast 500,000+ players always on.

While on a generally brand new game that every review gives great scores to only has about 5,000 - 10,000 players max (taken from PS3 at UK time).

So im wondering does COD kill off other games (multiplayer wise) before people even really play it?

Try to think of many games that have 100,000+ players on them almost constantly (not halo or BF3), is COD with it 1,000,000 peopke online (most of the time) killing other multiplayer games?

Do you think COD has just doomed 90% of games before people have even tried there multiplayer to see what its like, because everyone is to busy playing COD?

I see your point, but there are always those people who don't focus on FPS games or don't play FPS games. But for anyone who plays mainly FPS, they will most likely be overwhelmed with COD and eventually play it. Maybe because it's what everyone else is playing or they actually 'like' it.
