Post: Quick tutorial on updating MW3 PKG to play online

Big Daddy
Run FTP and navigate to hddo/game/your bles blus MW3 number
Find the first param.sfo file you find and extract it to your Desktop
Edit it with Hellcats sfo program which you can download from my thread You must login or register to view this content.
Once youve changed it to the current version (1.23) FTP it back to the folder.
Note that everytime you edit a param.sfo you will need to boot the game twice in order for it to make the necessary updates properly. So when you run MW3 after youve edited it, it will still ask you to install 1.23. Simply quit the game then run the disc again and itll read as 1.23 and wont ask for updates.
If you dont have a current MW3 map pack with Terminal you can download and install 1.22 pkg here

Yup i did and theres nothing wrong with your method apart from it taking so long, your method requires you to data transfer from your online PS3 to your CFW just to get the updated PKG. Mine skips that it simply updates the existing MW3 patch youve already got. No data transferring or 9.99 spoofer required

lol i aint trying to compete with you buddy, im just trying to help. Just because youve data transferred from console to console just to get an update out of it while erasing downloaded games you might have on your CFW doesnt make sense to me. If you believe youve got the best method i salute you, me personally i have stuff like trophys i havent synced to psn, games ive downloaded that i dont want erased by your method. FTPing a simple lil param.sfo and editing is alot faster and you lose nothing in the process. Took me 5/10mins done.
