Is it like the Asylum elevator...do you need to crouch once in mid-air?

It seems on ps3 there is an invisible ceiling blocking you from doing that one, in the spot you are supposed to try to jump you can jump but about an inch.

i dont understand how to do the whole um...... double jump thing that he does on castle, outskirts, and cliffside..... could somebody explain how to do these to me plz?
