Post: Am I really that bad?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have been playing COD 5 since it came out.

I'm level 48 or something on the third level of prestige. I play a few times a week for a few hours at a time.

I played with a few friends against 6 guys who were all in much higher levels of prestige. The scores were like 45 and 6 for them and I did the best on our team at 8 and 15.

Then, later that night, I went 26 and 7 on Roundhouse and 35 and 13 on Dome.

My question is, are there people out there that are really that good? I think I'm about an average player. What am I doing wrong? And how do you go 45 and 6 on a map like Courtyard? I just don't get it.

If any of you guys are of the 45 and 6 variety, it would be great to chat with you to find out why I'm so f#$d up sometimes.

Don't bother about getting the bonus exp for challenges on guns, it is so small it isn't worth it, if you spend 10 matches of TDM getting the 150 kills you need for a weapon you don't like and are bad with, you will get the 1,750 exp, but your k/d ratio will go down as well
But if you played 10 matches of TDM with a weapon you are amazing with and love, you will get about an extra 1,000 exp and your k/d ratio will go up

I find that Sabotages are the best game modes for me, and i tend to use the MP40 with the box mag, and definately stopping power. I got 93 kills and 10 deaths on Dome once and 43 kills and no deaths one Makin. I was on fire that game!

all i play is hardcore t/d. i really have not played any other game mode than that. i average about 15-30 kills a round. i like to run and gun and i think its the best to kill people with satchel charges. i went 39-4, 34-6, and 27-2 in 3 matches in a row, without a tank. does anyone like hardcore teamdeath match?

Hardcore TDM is fun, but it doesn't give you that much exp

I think you should start like this:
Ranks 1-14 ------ Team Death Match
Ranks 14-32 ----- Head Quaters
Ranks 32+ ------- Search and Destroy

I think that from ranks 1-14 you should do team deathmatch, so you unlock the MP40 and get atleast the silencer/suppressor/flash hider (dont know what its called) for it. Then you play headquaters until rank 32, so you find which weapons you're good with, try as many as you can, don't just use one weapon that you like, but if you find one that you're amazing with, stick with it, screw every other weapon, using other weapons just to get the challenges is a waste :

Then get a good class consisting of

Primary Weapon: Your favourite weapon that you are awesome with and should have found by now, because you are rank 32

Secondary Weapon: Your favourite pistol, not used that often, so don't spend hours finding a good pistol, the Colt or Torakev are good

Frag
Smoke

Perk 1: Bomb Squad, you don't want to be dying by betties! With betties you will be getting around 1 kill a match, with Bomb Squad, you might be saved from dying, possibly getting you more than 1 kill

Perk 2: Sleight of hand/stopping power, if the weapon you chose is very strong but has little ammo in a CLIP (before you have to reload) pick sleight of hand, if it is weak and has a decent amount of ammo in a clip, stopping power

Perk 3: Steady aim/Extreme conditioning, your best bet is to go with steady aim, as SnD is mainly, you running around, someone popping out of a corner, you getting shot, him getting shot, so steady aim is useful if you dont have time to look down those sights, If you are an expirienced rusher (rushes in everywhere) pick extreme conditioning

Hey everyone, thanks for all the tips. This is what I have decided.

I like to play HC Team, sometimes Reg Team and Headquarters.

I'm using an STG44 with aperature
357
Frag
Gas
Betties
Stopping on Reg, Camo on HC
Steady aim on Reg, Second Chance on HC and Reg

Sometimes on the smaller maps I like the Thompson. I know alot of guys use the MP40. I think it's too jumpy though. Does anyone else have that problem?

Sometimes on the larger maps, I'll use overkill with a scoped weapon and the STG.

When I started this thread I had 1000 more deaths than kills. I'm now down to 900. So I think all the tiops have helped. I'm not getting as much XP because I'm trying to not get killed as much. But I guess that's the trade off.
