Overview
Ever Since it was confirmed that these two guns had upgraded versions ("The Eviscerator" and "The Snuff Box") people have been excited to get the Type 99 from the Mystery Box and upgrade it, But no one has been able to recieve it no matter how hard they've tried from the box. Then many people noticed that the sawnoff shotgun has disappeared from the map, making people want to aquire that also.

Plausible Theories
So far the only theory that seems like it could possibly work is that once you activate the Flytrap and complete the challenge (locating and shooting the 2 teddy bears and 1 monkey bomb) these weapons will appear in the Random Box and become obtainable, but to no avail the people that tried this still have not gotten these items.*I AM NOT SAYING THIS WILL WORK I HAVE TRIED THIS MANY TIMES AND IT HAS NOT*

Misconceptions
The Fly trap has more than 3 items to shoot to finish
WRONG there are only 3.
-The Flytrap(Die Glocke or The Bell in English) has 8 items that fly around which are.
-Two(2) Teddy bears
-One(1) Monkey Bomb
-One(1) Juggernog soda bottle
-One(1) Pack-A-Punch'ed Colt
-One(1) Molotov Cocktail
-One(1) Grenade
-One(1) A Bowie Knife
The Teddy Bears and Monkey Bomb are holding these items so that leaves you with only 3 things to shoot to complete the Flytrap.

A Teddy Bear/Monkey Bomb on the moon

You have to shoot the teddy bear that makes the shadow on the wall

there are only spots on the moon like 5 of them

yup nothing on the moon. i think its funny how the teddy bears and monkey hold the other items.

oh yeah and another misconception is that you have to shoot the teddy bear that makes the shadow on the wall

i've gotten the sawnoff from mystery box without doing flytrap, didnt think anythin of it and left it in there

The two guns are most likely not in the map. From what I've read about mapping/moding at customCOD.com, the mystery box contains all available weapons in the map, automatically. IE: custom maps may have switched a wall gun, and that gun is automatically placed in the ??? box. Such items and their assets are loaded before gameplay begins. (loading screen).

Another possibility: Supposed to be there but isn't. Bugs/glitches were not worked out before the (hurried) deadline, and activating new assets during gameplay caused crashes. The two guns that would've been in there got deleted to meet the deadline.

There is also the possibility that through some crazy scripting, it could be there, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Besides, what is sooo good about those two guns? I'd be more excited about the DP-28, should they ever include it.

Has anyone completed the mini game without hearing the "game over"? How about try the box without shooting any of the objects (just activate the mini game). Or shoot one or the other, or both, but not the monkey? Has any attempt been made to contact Treyarch? Just some ideas.

Yep i have seen the type99 in the random box rotation

its probabley in the map but someone probabley screwed up the programing so that you have a 1 in 100000 chance of getting it from the box. i really dont see what all the fuss is over the type 99. the mg42 and browning are obviously better weapons, so i dont really see the point.....
