(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Recently I've been getting into PC games, I've been playing games on my mac which is pretty powerful since it's the newest one. I have no trouble running games for mac, but when I installed parallels to play PC games, I wasn't able to. So I've been thinking about buying a gaming PC and use my mac for editing, browsing, etc. The thing is I don't know anything about PC's or computers so I have no clue where to start. Some people say is cheaper to build the computer and others say it's just easier to buy a gaming PC.

What do you guys think is cheaper or is it worth buying a gaming PC like an alienware. If I want to build it what would I need to buy? And where's the best place to buy all the stuff?

alienware is a scam :P build your own one it will be so much cheaper and could even be better depending on the money you spend, i use ebuyer.com a lot, it usually has the best prices and has all the specs for everything

Well it's definitely cheaper to build it yourself and easier if you just buy one, and building it yourself it pretty easy if you just take the time, and it's pretty straight forward not much you can f*ck up, so I would recommend building it yourself, also you can choose whatever you want, The best place I can't say for you but if you enter a computer shop near you that sells seperate parts for pc's they can help you, just tell them you want a gaming rig and they will give you the options they recommend for a gaming rig(atleast here they do:P) also they ussually have benchmark rankings on all the parts ask them for this cause a graphics card costing 500 bucks maybe just a little better then a 200 buck card, don't know if this helped you, but hope you got a little closer to you decision Winky Winky

Lol, you can buy an equivalent of a MacPro(The Desktop) for about $600.

Oh yeah, btw...MOST IMPORTANTLY

Of course you can't run games in parallels, you're using a virtual machine.

If you want to play games on your mac use BOOT CAMP.

Yeah when I say mac pro I'm talking about this
You must login or register to view this content.

You can make a PC with those specs for $600 or less.

And before you buy a PC try using boot camp.
