Post: Need help on choosing a High Performance/Gaming Laptop :)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm looking to get a laptop for Christmas for High performance like HD video editing and gaming. I want one that will be able to run games like BFBC2 and Crysis 2 on Max Settings (1920 x 1080 res) and possibly BF3 also. (Prefferebly not alienware)
Any advice?

I had one laptop in mind, the Dell XPS 17
Processor: i7-2720QM processor 2.20 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.30 GHz
Graphics card: 3GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M
RAM: 6144MB (1x2GB, 1x4GB) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel SDRAM

Is this good enough for high performance gaming?

Here man, this is the one i got, it can run Crysis on max so it's basically going to run anything.
The guy builds it from scratch for you then sends it out when he's done. Only problem is it does not come with an operating system. It's not a laptop though

Stick with Intel. The Dell XPS is an amazing laptop. Buy it with the lowest amount of RAM, then upgrade it yourself, so you don't have to pay as much. But make sure you can upgrade the ram, if not 6GB should suffice. :y:

Doesn't seem like you can go wrong with the XPS, but you should also consider getting a modified Asus G51-JX.
