(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If you bought a pretty slow and old desktop PC and attatching a portable hard-drive (250-500gb) would it make it alot faster or would you need to do something else?

No, if you want a old pc to go faster I would suggest getting more RAM.

Or, for the cost that you are going to be paying for ram might as well just add another hundred or two dollars and buy a whole new computer with vista or windows 7... it will include the amount of ram you want as well but everything will be new hardware and possibly better than what you have.

hehe, i was looking on a few websites and they said that you need to buy the right type of chip thingy motherboard thing to match up with the motherboard in your computer, is that true? because i saw a 1GB ram chip thing for £11 my money ($20 your money) lol

hmm not really. to make it go faster, buy a few sticks of RAM, 4 GB is enough to make it run decent. also i suggest buying a solid state drive to put in it and not relying on an external hard drive.
