(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If you bought a pretty slow and old desktop PC and attatching a portable hard-drive (250-500gb) would it make it alot faster or would you need to do something else?

well if you like going to the store more than buying online, places like Walmart or Radioshack should have this stuff. if you want to buy it online, Newegg or Fry's are the best sites to buy stuff. as for guides, i've personally only installed RAM before but im sure you can just Google some or even look on Youtube.

I only would like to know that

1. When you put the chip inside the computer do you need to do anything else?
2. Do you need to buy a specific chip for a specific type/make/brand/model of desktop PC?
