I Need my computer to be able to do basic tasks such as browsing and word, etc. But, I also would like to be able to play games on it such as NBA 2k11, if anyone knows where I could get a cheap but powerful device then please let me know.

Save up a little bit more money & build one yourself.

1) It's cheaper
2) It's not too hard
3) Easier to upgrade
4) You can have it to your spec

So that is the 499$ model? nice! I have a couple of questions...... Is it worth buying extended warranty?.....and can I upgrade the 500gb memory to 1gb easily at a later point? Or would that be an issue

It seems troublesome to other separate parts from several locations, shipping adds up and then the building part I have no knowledge of pc's

Yep thats the 499$ model, I have purchased myself the dell XPS 7100 and i'm waiting for it to arrive, I suppose it will be easy to upgrade the hard drive, I don't really know, and I didn't bother getting the extended warranty, just be carefull with it and if something brakes don't worry, all of the components are around 100$, more or less.
