(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, My internet is really bad... I have comcast 12mbps.. I have replaced the router modem and even the line running to the house with no avail....Recently I think I have found the problem but I do not knwo if that is the problem. Basically, my grandpa streams movies every day... I have noticed that the internet is fine up until he streams movies, Then I have to reset the modem and router and it will work fine until he streams movies.... ( I have 4 wired computers and 2 wireless on the router) So could it be I need to upgrade my service to th enext tier? Or is this something else? I Will rep you if you know anything pertaining to this....

It sounds to me like you are over-running your router, it might not be able to support all the streaming data plus the other devices. Is your grandpa on wireless or wired? and what device is he using to stream movies?

are you using a modem or anything to process the signal before the router, like a modem from your isp?

Hmm, have you gone through a setup walkthrough with your isp?

Yes, We have done all of the normal and some not so normal things to do with it... They came out even and said the power level to the modem was to high and replaced the line to the house and it was fine but th einternet was still slow..

Try a speedtest to see if it shows up as 12MBPS just to make sure its running at the indicated speed.

Shouldnt you be using the modem attached to the router, and have the modem on routed or routed-bridge mode?
