(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, My internet is really bad... I have comcast 12mbps.. I have replaced the router modem and even the line running to the house with no avail....Recently I think I have found the problem but I do not knwo if that is the problem. Basically, my grandpa streams movies every day... I have noticed that the internet is fine up until he streams movies, Then I have to reset the modem and router and it will work fine until he streams movies.... ( I have 4 wired computers and 2 wireless on the router) So could it be I need to upgrade my service to th enext tier? Or is this something else? I Will rep you if you know anything pertaining to this....

2) Limit the amount of computers/other things connected to your router.
3) Make sure nobody is "stealing" your connection.
4) Make sure you havn't got a virus on your computer limiting the speed of your connection; I once had that.
5) If all else fails, you might need to live closer to your local exchange.

The thing is I do not want to switch to DSL I have cable right now... I have cut down to half of what I was using but not only is my ISP rated for 6-8 computers but so is my router..... I have switched the router password to be safe..... The virus is not so because it is happening to all computers.... and with cable internet it does not matter how far you live from it.... Even the cable provider (comcast) says this makes no sense lol) So I am stuck in Limbo...
