Post: How do you add .gif files to your YouTube avatar?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I just came across a channel that had a .gif or any other image of that sort as his display picture. I thought it was a new update so i tried, and it didnt work. is this a hack or is there a way to do it?
