I only just installed this version and am having a big problem with it. So I can't really answer this but I'll link you to a site that compares the two. You must login or register to view this content.

Best operating system there is :y:, it doesn't get the credit it deserves.

I am considering downloading this OS but I was wondering whether Windows XP Pro or Ubuntu is better. Please let me know as I am going to update tonight if it is worth it Smile

Ubuntu is very fast and easy to use, but most games and applications are supported on it. You can dual-boot Ubuntu and Windows(or Mac). I've been dual-booting for awhile and it's really nice. I wouldn't update tonight though. The Ubuntu servers are being overloaded right now. I had an average of an 100KB/s download for it. Wait a bit for updating if you don't want to wait 2 hours to download it.

I'm pretty sure Photoshop is supported. They're all made by Adobe right? If so then they probably are all supported.

No, no and no. Ubuntu doesn't support those applications. It might be able to run them on wine but it would be terrible/crashing etc.
