(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); HP recently announced it was ending it's range of touch pad devices. Also effectively ending all it's support, potential new apps and updates for the device also. Because of the stiff competition in this market, and these circumstances, the TouchPad is just not worth its premium price tag anymore. HP and most retailers because of this, have cut prices of the product drastically.

The TouchPad originally retailed (in the USA) at $400, is now only $99 at places such as BestBuy. Other retailers are following this trend and also cutting their prices. In the UK the TouchPad is available for £89 currently from Dixons, Currys and PC World. Obviously though stock is limited and selling out quick so head down to your nearest retailer if you are interested in grabbing yourself a bargain!

I'd rather put that £89 towards an iPad or even the PSVita, screw the TouchPad.

You could get like 2-3 PS3 games for that much money which will be more useful and funner. The fact webOS worked better on the iPad 2 hardware shows that something is clearly wrong with the TouchPad hardware. £89 is still to much for a Internet/Email device seeing as it has no App Store or Android Market.

Also the fact HP has dropped consumer support for webOS makes it unlikely it'll ever get upgraded or even developers make apps for it.
