Pros and Cons depend on the user, what is a pro to me might be a con to you. Ya see?

So i suggest you try it out for yourself, Set up a virtual machine and run linux in there. (i suggest ubuntu 10.10 as its probably the most noob friendly and 11 is shit)

Or you can even go to ununtu website and download the dual boot installer which will run windows and ubuntu side by side and you can uninstall it at any time. Then if you like it you can run a fresh installation over your windows partition. Smile

Pros can be many, Cons? Bad hardware support maybe? Check that up before you install it. While I had Ubuntu it was terrible, because of the bad hardware support.

In the and Linux perfect =D

Okey Happy I liked Ubuntu too, but it became too laggy for me. Probably because of the GPU which wasn't fully compatible with Ubuntu or something. Now I run Backtrack 5 which is based off Ubuntu, and it runs good.

You can run those applications on Ubuntu too!! Just install Wine trough the Software Center. It's very simple, and works very well. I am not 100% how it will run with less known programs like those, but give it a try. Winky Winky
