The graphics card on this is called Intel HD Graphics.
When I check if my computer can run a game like Sims 3 it says no. You must login or register to view this content.

The funny thing is my computer ran Mafia II fine even with only 64 mb of dedicated memory. How come? and can I run sims 3? I havent tried it yet. Can I increase my dedicated memory?

You are a complete dumbass. HD3000's have been around since before Ivy Bridge processors. I have a sandy bridge i5 and oh look what would you know, no strain or overheating.

OP, You'll be fine to run The Sims 3, and practically any other game. You might have to turn down settings a fair sum on newer games, but won't have any problems.
