Post: Strange computer problem

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok for the past few months my computer has been fucked up. my background is gone and my screen is black. my little start bar and stuff are gone. i have to use series of things just to open up the internet. i cant see any desktop icons. i can open up files and the internet and stuff but it takes for ever.please help.

Something might of infected your computer and messed with things. As for the start bar being missing, make sure it isn't set to hidden. If you have virus protection on it, run it. After that, run these two programs.

Both are free. Unless someone was there to actually look at it then what you explained did not give enough information to determine what was wrong. Clean it up first, if problems still persist then we can take it from there.

Hello, I suggest to do a full restore (you'll loose everything) and it will fully wipe everything to Out of box state are you on a laptop or a desktop?

im on a laptop but i dont want to lose everything

Well ill suggest to get this program (its free) Download: You must login or register to view this content.

And dont install it just do a one time use and scan your pc and remove all threats.

Also i suggest getting Malware bytes visit its website here: You must login or register to view this content. (get free version) and do a scan.


I wouldn't get Norton because its a pain in the ass to un-install Smile

Just make a back up on a disk or external hdd then a full restore it sounds like your os is corrupted somehow , as another member said above a full restore will sort this out.

Sounds like you got hit by a virus.
Try running a scan with Malwarebytes.

Instal some god antivirus trial and get rid off viruses... i see thats the problem Smile

yh lol Happy but just scan some folders that are important for you.. Smile and save them on USB etc.

Yes for God sakes it is. Norton converted me into a Kasperkey user....

Yeah, It happend to me too, I have kasperky and malwarebytes running at once I normally disable kasperky I only use it as internet security while searching the web
