(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am currently looking to buy a new Mac as my laptop at the moment is getting old, I have narrowed my search down to the 13" MacBook Pro with retina display, this costing $1900 (I'm on the Australian site) and the 13" MacBook Air with bumped up RAM to 8gb, this comes to around $1500,
so what I'm wondering is, which one am I going to get more value for money? I'm planning on using the machine for around 3-4 years, so which one would lose more value in that time?
also, heat is a big issue for me, I am constantly using my laptop on my lap, does either of these laptops have any kind of heat issue?

Mac book Pro (1900$) its worth it

I would choose the retina 13" as it should last you longer than an air

if i was you i would go with a 2011 model macbook air 13'' if you dont want to spend alot of $$$
