Im Building my new computer and i really only want it for gaming, so random access memory speed is a plus but i don't want to be spending too much on the ssd or hdd, so what do you think is the best for gaming, i was thinking
480 GB Intel 520 Series SATA-III Gaming MLC Solid State Disk 480GB x 2 (960GB Capacity)
Or
1TB Gaming Western Digital VelociRaptor 10,000RPM SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB 2TB (1TBx2

I would recommend you buying a SSD due to its velocity, but its true that they are much expensive so you wouldn't be able to have more capacity.
So, If you want to spend less money and have the most rentable one, I would choose the Velociraptor (if you do not have access to a SSD).
Hope I helped

First of all two 480GB SSD's is going to run you over $1k most likely. The best combo in all honesty would be to use both an SSD and a HDD.
For example You must login or register to view this content. and You must login or register to view this content. would work well together. You would install windows on the SSD and any other important games/programs. Then you can use the HDD to install the rest.
I do not recommend any 10k RPM drives, as they offer minimal performance differences and are often never worth the extra money you spend.

instead of wasting that much money on ssd u just buy a 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD and use the SSD for Os And Programs and games and other big files on the HDD

just get 120gb bootdrive SSD and some 1-2tb drives for games
get two 120gb ssd's, set them up as raid 0 (lighting fast) and use 1tb for download, etc.. But stand-alone ssd is more then enough. Prices have dropped rapidly for ssd's in the uk.
Even two 3.5 drives in RAID 0 will get you fast read/writes provided they are SATA III. For gaming though I would get more storage over speed for all the games you'll install.
If you're really worried about speed and have a lot of ram, look into getting a supercache app
I bought a 128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD for my main drive for things like the OS and important software, and a secondary (soon to be upgraded) 500GB WD Black SATA-III HDD for all my games, movies, music e.t.c.
