People have found that you can switch from Tactical Defending to Legacy Defending (old Fifa 11 defending) through the control settings. I highly recommend that you don't switch as you will have to use the new Tactical Defending online in Fifa 12. The demo is a chance to get used to it and will give you an advantage when you are playing online when the full game comes out. Switching back would be totally pointless and you'll have no hope of defending in Fifa 12.

I know that but everyone will be getting use to it in the online community think about it football is a tactical game so they want to make it fair for everybody rather than getting beaten badly online because you pressed too high up the pitch leaving behind a bigger gap for other good fifa players to exploit us so they knock a high ball up field and suddenly there clear through on goal and score.

Well I suppose that at the end of the day both players will have to use tactical defending online so both are at a disadvantage. I can see there being very few clean sheets because of this though because as well as it being impossible to tackle the keepers seem very weak.

And how can anyone complain about TD? The 'legacy' defending system was boring, repetitive, flawed and took near to no skill whatsoever.

I think fifa just need sort this whole defending out, it's too hard IMO.
