People have found that you can switch from Tactical Defending to Legacy Defending (old Fifa 11 defending) through the control settings. I highly recommend that you don't switch as you will have to use the new Tactical Defending online in Fifa 12. The demo is a chance to get used to it and will give you an advantage when you are playing online when the full game comes out. Switching back would be totally pointless and you'll have no hope of defending in Fifa 12.

grr then i should switch back to legacy and practise with it tbh for me it seems just shjt not because its too hard but cuz fifa is using legacy defending for 12 years or even more im perfectly used tgo it -.-

What do you mean 'less enjoyable'? Tactical defending stops noobs from mashing the X/A button!

If anything EA is taking a step in the right direction, And from your statement you fall into that noob category i'm afraid.

U love the new defending. You pay the cost if you dont do it right.

Im already getting used to it. BUT, i've played a few online games and they can just score by doing fake shots... It's easy to get past thru the defense. Don't say im a noob because i'm not. I've been in the top 100 FIFA11 players.

I absolutely hate the new defending.
I was in the top 100 at fifa 09, top 1000 at fifa 10 and fifa 11 I dint play as much, the defense system wasnt flawed at all imo, sure you could just hold the x/a button to defend, but if you are a decent player you would be able to outplay the defender. Now you can just walk through the defense because doing a clean tackle is way too hard. I did win my first few games on fifa 12 but with strange scores like 6-3. I dont feel in control at all whilst defending and I notice my opponents don't aswell.
I like when fifa changes things in newer games but this is just awful imo.
