People have found that you can switch from Tactical Defending to Legacy Defending (old Fifa 11 defending) through the control settings. I highly recommend that you don't switch as you will have to use the new Tactical Defending online in Fifa 12. The demo is a chance to get used to it and will give you an advantage when you are playing online when the full game comes out. Switching back would be totally pointless and you'll have no hope of defending in Fifa 12.

If i cant play with Legacy then im not going to play the online... Tactical defending is a big shit! lol no one likes it. and EA will be losing if they dont let us play the way we like to. they are making the game less enjoyable...

I think its a good idea since you can just drop back and not leave too much space for the opposition to exploit us. It will take some getting use to in previous fifa's we could hold a button and it would do the tackling for us. Good news is EA is letting us play how we want to play football whether its tactical defending or legacy defending like in previous fifa games.
