Haven't seen you in a while Oprah how have you been. But is it yellow light then turn off if not what does the power light do.

theres no yellow light, it flashes alternatingly between red and green then does the over heat three beep then shuts down.

Sounds like it may be bricked? Try seeing if you can put it in Recovery mode:

Turn it on, but keep your finger on the power button until it turns off. Turn it on again but keep your finger on. It should beep once, then beep again twice then take off your finger. A screen should pop up. Go to the update thing, it should tell you your current FW and you can then find out if it's bricked or not.

i inherited it for free, so i'm just going to sell it and just make money. derek and murky said it was worth 200+ dollars being that has never been updated. and i could care less the reserve is set at 50 bucks. could be an easy fix a fix i'm not caring about at all. but someone might want to fix it and then jail break it.
