(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); We all know the scientific view on the center of the solar system, (I hope :p)
Here are the religious opinions:

Christian View on the Earth being the center of the universe:
"Copernicus (1473-1543) enraged the Church by writing that the Earth might orbit the Sun. Christian theology holds that the great scheme of God revolves around Humankind; God's only son is a human, God created the Earth and all other animals for Mankind (Genesis 1:28 etc), and the destruction of creation centres around events occurring on planet Earth, to Humans."

Muslim View on the Earth being the center of the universe:
Muslims believe that the Earth is the center of the universe and that Mekkah is the center of the earth and Gods throne is directly above Earth (Mekkah to be exact)
And that a rock was built into the Earths crust which has a special power (Many muslims believe in that power as gravity)

Jewish View on the Earth being the center of the universe:

The torah does not mention much about astronomical topics, but based on Christian views, and the bible, many Jewish people believe that the sun is not the center of the universe, but they make no claims as to what is the center

So, here again, it is a battle of religion and science, what do you believe?

That is the Catholic view, not a view from a protestant point of view.

Catholicism is not modern Christianity, it is it's own religion, yet it simply believes in similar concepts that Christians believe in.
