I'm Back...
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); World Cup referee Lu Jun could face punishment ranging from administrative sanction to the death penalty if found guilty in the ongoing probe into match-fixing in the domestic game.

Lu, who officiated in two matches at the 2002 World Cup finals in South Korea and Japan, was one of three referees arrested in the last week.

If he is found guilty of having accepted bribes as a public servant, the severity of his punishment will depend on the amount of money involved.

Well he shouldn't be match fixing in the first place, but a possible death penalty is crazy.

Exactly what I thought, but that did screw over Italy and Spain in 2002.

what you guys dont understand is
SOCCER OR FOOTBALL IS A BIG FREAKING DEAL IN OTHER COUNTRYS
i mean some goalie in central america lost the cup over a let in goal and was murdered over it
and south korea and japan are really harsh countrys and will punish HARSHLY

I understand their love of sports but, death over money? If you ask me It's not worth it. People take sports too seriously, it's called a game for a reason. I agree with Caspa; There's got to be a better way to deal with this.

Death penalty is way to severe. I say if he's found guilty he should be thrown in jail for how ever many years.
