You are right, but the cut off age for this rule is 17 and 1/2, not just 17. If you are under 17 and 1/2, you still have to take drivers education and behind the wheel lessons.


Yea i completed drivers ed already and got a 100% on the final and signed up for drivers training so now im just waiting to get both certificates and i can get my permit. Do i have to take one session of driver training so the instructor can sign my permit before i can drive with my parents?

Yes, you do need to take at least one driving lessons and have your permit signed by the instructor before you'll be able to start driving with your parents, until you do that, the permit is considered invalid.

Make sure to take some You must login or register to view this content. before you take your learners permit exam, they are quite helpful. If you already took the exam, share the love with others, tell everyone how it was and whether you found any particular area troublesome.
