A report has emerged which reveals that most PlayStation 3 consoles are actually bought second hand.
A recent survey by PS3PriceCompare has revealed that out of over 1000 owners of the console, 33 per cent had bought their's second hand.
The second method which was used by 26% of people was to sign up via a mobile phone contract and receive the console as an incentive.
Interestingly only 24 per cent admitted to paying full price for Sony’s console, while the remaining 17% of people were given the PS3 as a gift (14%) or won the console in a competition (3%).
Finally 78% of the 1017 people that took part said they had bought a second-hand game for PS3.
