I agree Wenger needs to be doing more with you however it's hard to compete when most of your best players are always getting injured. Arsenal came close this season but fell at the last hurdle. If Fabregas leaves which there's a 70% chance he will you'll have to find a replacement which I don't think you'll beable to do. That's the thing with arsenal, they start to come back into the title race then they lose one of their best players and have to start again. If arsenal can keep hold of their top players and sign a quality striker I think they'll do damage to chelsea and utd as both of them are beginning to weaken.
van persie is in the team he is in others, right at the bottom. he is a great striker, great technique ect but....... he never scores.like he scores obviously but not consistently I know he has had a couple injuries (he is very injury prone, which is annoying) but still. his goal rate compared to someone like rooney or tevez is poor. I think van persie is equally or dare I say better then rooney when it comes to technique, but the thing that makes rooney better is he scores goals week in week out, he is clinical. and i know what you mean about us always falling at the last hurdle but thats due to lack of depth in the squad. injuries is ALWAYS going to happen, now if we had a squad with depth then we would be fine. look at the squad I posted most of the players can play in 2-3 positions. and if we bought a big name player or just players that would persuade fabregas to stay. and if we bought a couple nice players that would attract other players. and pienaar would come, about a year ago there was speculation of him coming to arsenal.

my point about depth in a squad will be proven today when chelsea win the title. think how versatile their squad is.
