Can someone tell me how the Stock Market Works? (FTSE)

I can't seem to get my head around it beacuse you type it in on Google and it comes up with all these long words that have no meaning to me.

So i would like someone to create there own pice of text on how it works so i can understand it, im only 14 and i don't have a clue...

So please come someone help me out?

Well i want to undersatnd this beacuse my dad's mate started studying it and he has made millions. Now honestly you should see his house! And if you think his house is something you should see his backgarden its like 5 miles big!

So i would realy like to understand the stock market so PLEASE HELP ME!

if your school has an investment club then join that and they will teach you

with the extra money i would save for along time in a bank account you will make money off of interest and if you want to enter the stocks later you can use the extra money for something.
just put some extra dough off to the side and just start going on and on

just dont invest in woolworths XD lol oh and arent the interest rates in banks at an all time low of 2%? apparently set to go to 0% soon. LOL. pwnt.

Its better to learn while your young. Trying to learn stock market when your older will be alot harder. Its so much easier to absorb information when your a kid. I dont know much i want to be more in graphics and gaming graphics etc

you say that but spending your time learning the stock markets at 14 is a bit of a waste of time which could be spent on revision or GCSE's. If i was you id avoid going into great detail about them atm and getting bogged down in it. Concentrate on school until After ur A lvls. Then you might have more spare time depending on what you do after school.

Btw stocks arent as easy as you may think dont expect to become rich off of them only a small few have an they have years of experience and knowledge, and atm you'd have more of a chance playing the lottery.

See thats why im studying it now ^^ I kind of got some good tips from people cheeres guys!
