(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Does grammar really influence on how people think of you?
In my opinion it's a yes, because without good grammar, people "wuold t4lk l1ek th1s 4ll th3 t1m3" and well, that's annoying, so grammar, does it influence on how people look at you?

uZ cun r3Ad D1z 1t d0NT 1t |)0nT... **** it, I've proved my point. You can read that at the start, it's still not acceptable. I shouldn't have to be fluent in retard to post on this forum. If someone doesn't use commas, really who gives a ****? As long as there are sentences that make sense and the words don't contain random numbers and capitals, it's all good.

Grammar is important I think. It helps me determine how intelligent someone is and how mature they are. Younger people often do not type in a good grammatical structure. Most older people do. It's kind of like your looks. If you just go out to town looking as raggedy as can be, people will get an idea about you that you do not put much effort into anything at all, same with grammar.

@OP: You might want to research what "inflict" means. You're thinking of influence. And, to answer your question, of course it influences what people think of you. While you're on the Internet, you communicate through writing. People with poor grammatical habits typically fail to communicate efficiently, and thus, people think poorly of them or undermine their intelligence.

My brother is twenty years old. He has dysgraphia (a writing disability), yet he's one of the most intelligent people I've ever met. He's double-majoring in political science and economics in the near future. I feel as if we often overlook people who "typ like this al the time, and use periods as commas. you know what i mean?" Sure, they can't form a beautifully worded sentence like some, but that doesn't mean they're retarded. There are some special cases, (i.e. my brother).

well said, I myself have "Dyslexia" (had to look on google to spell it), people say ok if you can't spell just use a spell checker, why wouldyou say that, if I can't spell and have trubble reading, how is a spell checker going to help when it gives you more words to chose.

So as for grammer, I have to when writing on paper put a capital D or B as I can't tell the difference, I don;t really know how to use , or ;. I use there for every kind of there thire or the other one.

But I know my IQ is high, as I have been tested to see what's wrong with me, if I was to speak to you in voice, you wouldn't know it was me typing, as some of the words I want to use I don't know how to spell, so I speak different to how I do in real live then I do on the internet, but I do try and spell and use grammer as best I know how to, this dosen't mean I don't have a good IQ.

You yourself, among many others, are a special occasion. But, when misspelling is intentional, like: "lik dud dat was so awsum, is der any 4 me?" That talk you can recognize as intentional.

Using bad grammar doesn't automaticaly mean your uneducated, it odesn't mean either that you spell each and every word with numbers.

I've said this before and i'll say it again, people come onto this forum to have a good time, not to be lectured by some dickhead on how to spell. Abbreviating words saves time and effort and makes conversations a lot quicker an easier to word out.

Stop being a drama queen, I gurantee if you ever try and correct someone's grammar on the street you wil be punched.

It doesn't matter what it says, the point of the post is clear.

It was meant to say "You can read this, it don't mean it's acceptable." I couldn't be arsed to finish it though. It's a lot of effort spelling like that. I thought the whole point was to shorten things and make it easier.
