(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Does grammar really influence on how people think of you?
In my opinion it's a yes, because without good grammar, people "wuold t4lk l1ek th1s 4ll th3 t1m3" and well, that's annoying, so grammar, does it influence on how people look at you?

Yes. I can't stand people with bad grammar, un-educated muppets.

I can't stand people who put hyphens in the word "uneducated." You're like twelve, FuSioNzPS3. Stop talking.

@OP: You might want to research what "inflict" means. You're thinking of influence. And, to answer your question, of course it influences what people think of you. While you're on the Internet, you communicate through writing. People with poor grammatical habits typically fail to communicate efficiently, and thus, people think poorly of them or undermine their intelligence.

My brother is twenty years old. He has dysgraphia (a writing disability), yet he's one of the most intelligent people I've ever met. He's double-majoring in political science and economics in the near future. I feel as if we often overlook people who "typ like this al the time, and use periods as commas. you know what i mean?" Sure, they can't form a beautifully worded sentence like some, but that doesn't mean they're retarded. There are some special cases, (i.e. my brother).

As long as you're not typing like you're sending a txt, I don't give a ****.

Woah, better go back and check my grammar or my opinion will be void.

Grammar is highly important on internet forums as it will, generally, be the first impression people get of you. Along with user-name signature and any other kind of message you could give off. Good grammar , in general, shows you are talking to someone who has put a slight bit of effort into their post and are (again only in general) likely to have had a better education. Yes I have stepped up my grammar for this post =).

For example my signature, a failed attempted at being witty and me failing to attach a picture. Everything there points at 'Retard'.

Here's my logic in this matter: If you can't spell, then get the **** off the internet. Simple enough, yes?
