Please, if you get any messages like this, report them to a moderator immediately also if you have been messaged and you have messaged your details please also contact a moderator.

Also beware of other threats such as phishers.

this happened to me thanks for the late notice though, ive been trying to get it sorted out for the past 2 days, i have to use my friends account so i can find out info and stuff like this.

i got one that said "your password is 50 days old, you must change it" ... is that legit?

If its legit, it should be 50 days (I think), but just check the grammar or printscreen and send to a moderator.
