(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Apple takes up a great percentage of the electronics market; however, one piece of the pie Apple has not weened its way into is the gaming market, but this may not last too long. After the announcement of OnLive in 2009 Apple began to feel the heat. Growing speculation suggests that Apple, with the hiring of Microsoft's Richard Teversham, is expanding into the gaming industry (You must login or register to view this content.). There are many theories and ideas about the iBox, but many are not firmly rooted. As announced by Steve Jobs back in Jan. 2009 the Apple iBox is still a rumor. However, the question still remains...

Will Apple make a move of the gaming industry?

I can honestly say I hope they do, a 3 way war between Apple, Microsoft, and Sony will be better for gamers.

Daddy's home.
They would certainly put up more competition as they have with the iPhone, iPad and Mac Books. A new console would be mega and have ace technology. The only downside I can see is the price. It would cost loads.

The more the company's feel the competition , the more they feel the urge or pressure to make better things.
So I say , Go Ahead apple.

Seeing that the iBox has not been released it hasn't been created. If you had read what I posted Steve Job's, no more than a year ago, said the iBox was still a rumor. Please read before you post, otherwise do not provide pictures based on a YouTube spoof [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_KxN0Nepus]iBox Spoof[/ame]

Apple already tried to enter the gaming market once. They failed drastically. It was the 90s and they wanted a piece of the market. They came up with the Apple Pippin (below) which was utter disappointment. The end.
