Inhabit = Inhabit to mean to live or reside in. The crocodiles inhabit (to live in) the river, yet they went to the conference, to mean to travel, yet they still live, to inhabit, the river.
How's that for a response?
The question says "is inhabit
ed" which, to me, suggests that they are currently inhabiting the river and not elsewhere, such as the conference. If they are not in the river, the don't inhabit it as they are not there, same as me not inhabiting my house when I'm out.
